Setting up your Driver Station

Configuring wifi settings on your Driver Station

Step 1 - Open settings

Step 2 - Open Wifi settings

Step 3 - Tap advanced

Step 4 - Tap Wifi Direct

Step 5 - Tap Configure Device

Step 6 - Name your device following this naming scheme.

• Since the device will be a Driver Station, specify your team number and "-DS".

• If you have more than 1 set of Driver Stations and Robot Controllers add letters to specify which device it is e.g. "-C"

For example, our team's primary Driver Station would be "18038_A_DS"

Installing the FTC Driver Station app

Option A:

Step 1 - Go to the Google Play store and sign-in using your teams Google account

Step 2 - Search "FTC Driver Station" app and download it

Option B:

Installing the app this way can be more difficult.

Step 1 - Enable Side loading

Step 2 - Open Chrome

Step 3 - Go to the FIRST-Tech-Challenge FtcRobotController Project on Github on the Releases page.

Step 4 - Download the FTC Driver Station APK

Step 5 - Open file manager

Step 6 - Tap Apps and then the APK we just downloaded

Step 7 - Tap Install and your done!
